Formosa Cafe

Est. 1939, Formosa is a beautifully maintained / restored bar with mediocre Chinese food, overly sweet drinks, and most importantly a 5 star atmosphere. Dark wood, red leather booths, and neon signage, it’s very old Hollywood kitschy. You can sit in the back in a train car or at the bar surrounded by black and white celebrity portraits of guests paste (Elvis, James Dean, Lucille Ball, Humphrey Bogart, Frank Sinatra etc.) I used to go on all my first dates here until I switched to an undisclosed but still very Hollywood location.
