Hermon's

The much talked about newly opened Hermon's has the same warm friendly feeling as your favorite diner, but it's a beautiful restaurant! Tucked into the little pocket of Hermon in Northeast LA, they want to be a neighborhood spot and the energy is there but the waitlist is long. Three of us walked in and sat at the bar next to a guy who lived just around the corner but hadn't been able to get in until that night.

Our order: Vermouth on the rocks, chopped chicory salad, tiger prawns, garlic bread, dirty gin martini, cheeseburger, mushroom bourguignon, skillet cookie, and baked Alaska. The pre-martini sequence + cookie is what I'll be returning for. $10 martini from 5-6pm.
