Silke Otto-Knapp, Land and Sea (Cove) (2019)

Silke is a favorite painter of mine as well as a dear teacher to me at UCLA. Silke passed away in 2022, leaving behind a special quiet poetry and moon shadows. There is a large painting of hers at the Marciano that I recommend taking the time to look at. She collected rocks.
